Yellow and Dalmatian Toadflax

Stem boring weevil

Mecinus janthinus: This insect is causing dramatic declines in toadflax density, often very quickly by bio-control standards. A must-have for any toadflax program.

Toadflax flower beetle

Brachypterolus pulicarius: Both larvae and adults feed on the young tissues and reproductive parts of the plant, causing increased branching and reduced seed production. Widely established, call for information.
$75 per release.

 

Toadflax weevil

Gymnetron antirrhini: This insect causes dramatic decline of yellow toadflax seed production (80-90%) . The weevil is already widely distributed. Check to be sure you don't already have it.
$75 per release.

 

Calophasia lunula

Toadflax moth

Calophasia lunula: This insect attacks yellow and dalmatian toadflax. Larvae feed mostly on new shoots and leaves. Not well adapted to cold, high elevation areas.
